Yiannis' Sinioroglou artistic research revolves around the interaction between historiography and space theory as part of a process that forms a multidisciplinary discourse based on associations and exchanges. His practice embodies site and context specific approaches emerging constant doubts and raptures towards a series of meanings, states and ideas that have been highly regarded as certainties, protocols and authorities throughout the western philosophical tradition. This long-term interest in relating seemingly unfamiliar verbal codes and perspectives generates a variable body of work encompassing sculpture, printing, sound, text, documentary material and filming.
